Do you find the abandoned Overbrook Psychiatric Hospital in Cedar Grove or Essex Mountain Sanatorium in North Caldwell intriguing? Maybe your wondering what type of activity took place at these asylums or how the patients were treated. If your curiosity has been piqued, then maybe you would enjoy attending a poetry reading and slide show with local author and artist Wheeler Antabanez as he reads chilling poems from his new poetry collection "Words of Overbrook" at the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road, on Sunday, October 21 at 2:00 pm.

Distraught and disillusioned by the demolition of the historic abandoned asylum, Wheeler was inspired to write a collection of chilling free-verse poems about the demise of Overbrook Psychiatric Hospital, which he has been fascinated with since his rebellious teenage years. He will also show slides of never before seen images of the demolition of the asylum.
