Free Citizens Montclair Police Academy

Posted

The Montclair Police Department’s Community Service Unit (CSU) is seeking interested members of the community (residents and businesses) for the upcoming Citizens Police Academy.

Starting February 13, 2018 and running for 10 weeks, the Montclair Police Department and Bloomfield Police Department will be holding a free Citizens Police Academy. This program is made available to anyone that is at least 21 years of age who either resides or works in Montclair or Bloomfield. Classroom style instructions are given weekly to those that participate. All members of the academy get an in-depth view at the different areas of policing as well as the criminal justice system. Instructors consist of certified law enforcement officers from the Montclair and Bloomfield Police Departments, as well as other law enforcement agencies.

Anyone interested in this initiative by partnering, sponsorship, or making a donation please contact Officer Travis Davis at tdavis@montclairnjusa.org or call 973-509-4775 option #5.
