On 08-26-2018 at approximately 2230Hrs, officers responded to Pine Street at Glenridge Avenue on a report of shots fired. The victim, a 31yoa Montclair man, walked to Mountainside Hospital with a gunshot injury to the nose. He is listed in stable condition. This incident is currently under investigation.
On 08-27-2018 at approximately 0630Hrs, a 64yoa Montclair man was walking on Virginia Avenue when approached by a dark colored SUV. Two men exited the vehicle and took approximately $100 cash from the victim’s pocket. One of the suspects brandished a handgun. The suspects are described as African-American males in their 20’s. The victim was not injured in this incident. This incident is currently under investigation.
On 08-27-2018 at approximately 0700Hrs, a 47yoa Montclair man was walking on Sylvan Place when approached by a dark colored SUV. Two men exited the vehicle and demanded the victim’s bag and wallet. One of the suspects brandished a handgun. A laptop, cellular phone, and wallet were taken in this incident. The suspects are described as African-American males in their 20’s. The victim was not injured in this incident. This incident is currently under investigation.
The shooting incident does not appear connected to these robberies.
