Montclair Police Department - Blotter 12-19-2017

Arrest:

12-15-2017 (Church Street) Mr. Ibn Reed, 40yoa from Montclair, was arrested and charged with Forgery and hindering for passing fraudulent $100 bills at an area retail establishment. He was also found to have an open warrant out of Newark ($1000)

12-16-2017 (Valley Road) Mr. William Bishop, 31yoa from Clifton, was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.

12-18-2017 (Orange Road) Mr. Corey Fogg, 44yoa from Roseland, was arrested and charged with DWI.

Burglary/Theft:

12-12-2017 (South Willow Street) Theft from an unlocked motor vehicle. A wallet and watch were taken.

12-12-2017 (Stonebridge Road) Theft of delivered packages, containing board games, from the front of a residence.

12-13-2017 (North Mountain Avenue) A homeowner observed a male inside an area of his residence which is currently under construction. The male fled on foot to the area of North Mountain Avenue. The suspect was described only as a male approximately 5’8” in height. Nothing was reported missing from the residence.

12-13-2017 (Melrose Place) An unlocked motor vehicle was rummaged through, but nothing taken.

12-16-2017 (Valley Road) Theft of a delivered package from the front of a residence.

12-16-2017 (Women’s Club, Cooper Avenue) Theft of a purse that had been left unattended in the restroom.

12-16-2017 (Claremont Avenue) Burglary to an apartment through an unlocked window. Cash was taken in this incident.

12-17-2017 (Orange Road) Theft of three bicycles from an unlocked and open garage.

12-17-2017 (Hilltop Place) Theft of a delivered package from the front of a residence.

12-19-2017 (Harrison Ave) Theft of a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder. This vehicle was left running when the theft occurred.

Robbery:

12-12-2017 (Cloverhill Place) A food delivery driver was approached by two males while making a delivery. The two males struck the driver numerous times and then one of them brandished a knife. They took the food order and cash from the victim’s pockets. The first suspect was described as an African-American male, approximately 5'10, wearing dark pants and a red jacket or hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect was described as an African-American male, approximately 5'08 in height, wearing dark pants and a dark jacket or hooded sweatshirt. The victim had a small laceration to the forehead and refused medical treatment.
