The Historical Society of West Caldwell will present a slide-lecture titled "April 6, 1917: America Enters the Great War and NJ Enters the 20th Century" on Thursday, October 5 at 6:30 pm in the Community Room of the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road.

Award-winning photojournalist Jim DelGiudice will discuss events relating to World War I from 100 years ago that still reverberate in our state today. As World War I began, New Jersey supplied the Allies of Europe with both the products of its newfound industrial resources as well as the sacrifices of its great citizens from Woodrow Wilson to Joyce Kilmer.
