Get your shovels ready. There is a new winter storm headed our way, with rain, snow and ice expected to hit the tri-state region starting at 6:00 PM tonight.
The National Weather Center reports snow will being this evening, but won't come down heavy until Tuesday morning.
Accumulations are expected to hit 4 inches at the Jersey Shore and 2 inches in our area.
Even with a few inches of snow on the ground, however, arctic temperatures are back in New Jersey by the weekend, so plenty of icing is expected.
Updates to follow.
