Valentine's Day Weekend Surprises at The Van Vleck House & Gardens

Treat yourself and your loved ones to one of two special treats this Valentine's weekend.

"Miss Valentine - A Reading" Date: Friday, February 12th & Saturday, February 13th. Local playwright, Nadine Bernard, presents her newest work of romance, imagination, women's rights, and sexual mores of the Victorian age. The play tells the story of Ester Howland, "The Mother of the American Valentine" who began a greeting card business in the mid-nineteenth century and made Valentine's Day famous. Doors open at 7:30, reading starts at 8:00 – 10:00pm

Sunday Afternoon at the Opera - 2:00 – 4:00pm, Sunday, February 14th

The State Repertory Opera of New Jersey is pleased to present a repertoire of love songs featuring mezzo soprano Katy Sumrow singing songs from Frederick Chopin, George Gershwin, and Harold Arlen.

Reservations are required for both events. Suggested donation of $10 for each event supports the care and manitenance of the Van Vleck House & Gardens. Call (973) 744-4752 to reserve a seat.
