Strong Arm Robbery in Montclair

The Montclair Police report that a strong arm robbery, which means a robbery where the "actor" uses physical force, occurred in Montclair yesterday.

Here is the police report:

02-26-2015 at 1546Hrs (Mountainside Hospital Parking Deck, 31 Sherwood Street) A Bloomfield man was the victim of a strong-arm robbery on the fourth level of the parking structure. As the victim was walking to his vehicle, he was approached by a male suspect who stated “I don’t want to hurt you, I just need cash.” The victim handed the suspect approximately $70 in cash. This suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a white male, 25-35yoa, 5’9”-5’11” in height. He was wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt with a dark gray scarf covering his face. No weapon was shown. No injuries reported.
