The 23rd annual Caldwell Street Fair will be here on Sunday, October 5.

Expect the streets of Caldwell to be filled with the sounds of laughter, music, and the feet on the street of up to 20,000.

Every year, this local small town event sets up shop in Caldwell, welcoming thousands to help support local non-profits the Rotary Club of the Caldwells and the Kiwanis Club of Caldwell and West Essex.

As any truly Americana event, this one is run not by a business but by a dedicated group of business owners and local charitable volunteers. The Caldwell Street Fair is truly a go-to destination every first Sunday in October.

There are more than 100 tables operated by people selling all kinds of clothing, jewelry, sports memorabilia, animal products, and just about every kind of gift you can imagine.

Restaurants set up grills and portable cooking areas to offer the public all kinds of food - from pizza to pasta to sandwiches to burgers and much more.

The beer garden is a spot where you can kick back and relax, and of course there is live music. The Kootz will be playing - at the popular beer garden, so be sure to check out this spot where you can kick back and enjoy yourself. To find this area, just go behind the Cloverleaf into the back parking lot.

Over the years, the 50-50 raffle has grown to become a significant cash prize. This year, it is expected to reach or grow larger than $28,000, as it did in previous years.

With all the proceeds going back into non-profit needs in the area, this is a surefire way to grab your friends and family and feel good about having a great time - in a safe, small town setting.
