Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Department of Parks and Recreation are excited to announce a family event for music lovers everywhere to enjoy! “Park Ave” will take the stage on July 23, 2015 for the Recreation Department’s 2nd Sizzling Summer Concert! This concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at Memorial Park 1 (Mud Hole) located on the corner of Vreeland Ave and Passaic Ave.

"Park Ave" performs a wide spectrum of music from Louie Prima, Dion, the Four Seasons, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Huey Lewis to The Vogues, Duprees, Lettermen, etc. They specialize in songs that have a strong vocal harmony which creates a distinctive blend, complemented with a musical accompaniment that results in a sound that is "only one of its kind". The members of "Park Avenue" have been entertaining in the Northern New Jersey area since 1974, and have, in recent years, expanded their fan base from upstate NY to Cape May, NJ., as well as appearing in performances through-out eastern Long Island.

“Our Concerts provide free entertainment throughout the summer months, offering a variety of performers in a great outdoor atmosphere” stated Tucci. In the spirit of summertime relaxation, these special summer performances emphasize family recreation in a tranquil outdoor setting. Whether you come to see old friends, enjoy great food or to listen to the sounds of great music you don’t want to miss this one of a kind event.

Feel free to bring your lawn chair or a blanket. The rain date for this event is July 30th. If you would like further information on this event, please contact the Recreation Department at (973)284-4966, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
