NUTLEY REMEMBERS SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

Nutley Mayor Alphonse Petracco has announced plans to hold a remembrance ceremony for victims of September 11, 2001 on Friday , September 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the 9/11 monument site that is located in front of the Nutley Township Hall. Residents are invited to join Township officials, victim’s families, friends and clergy in remembering those who perished that day. Among those lost were three Nutley residents, Lt. Robert Cirri, Frank LaLama, and Dorota Kopiscko.

In addition, Township residents are asked to display a lighted candle on their front porch or an electric candle in a window between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Residents are also encouraged to display an American flag in front of their homes to show united support against the war on terrorism. It is Mayor Petracco’s wish that we will always unite to remember the events of September 11, 2001 and that displays of this type will forever serve as reminder of our the tragic loss that our country suffered that day.
