Nutley Little Theatre has completed casting for its production of “Broadway Bound,” the Neil Simon comedy-drama that will open its 2015-2016 season on Friday, Sept 11, at the NLT Barn, 47 Erie Place, Nutley.

Directed by Miles Tepper of Montclair, the cast includes Joe Stern of Suffern, NY, James Parent of Dumont, Anne Simpson of Bloomfield, Art Delo of West Orange, Patrick Little of Nutley and Margaret Mikkelsen of Montclair.

Evening performances will be on Sept. 11, 12, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26. Matinee performances are on Sept.13, 20 and 26. Curtain for evening shows is 8 p.m., and for matinees, 2 p.m. The opening performance on Sept. 5 is a benefit for the Nutley Family Service Bureau.

The final entry in Neil Simon’s autobiographical coming-of-age trilogy, “Broadway Bound” examines the relationship between younger brother Eugene (Simon’s alter ego) and older brother Stan as they attempt to break into show business as comedy writers, while also dealing with the disintegration of their parents’ marriage of some 30 years. Add eccentric relatives, and the result is a dark comedy that is alternately hilarious and heart-wrenching. This show contains adult language and is not suitable for children.
