Mount Saint Dominic Academy Students Make Sandwiches for the Less Fortunate in Newark

Caldwell, NJ, January 24, 2015 7:11 PM – Since last January, Mount Saint Dominic Academy Peanut Butter and Jelly Club members have made approximately 3,000 sandwiches for St. John's Soup Kitchen in Newark. Students gather after school each month to spread sandwiches with peanut butter and jelly to assist the less fortunate.

Theresa Scharff, moderator of the club, shares, "We are thankful for donations of Skippy creamy peanut butter and grape jelly. The generous supplies are given by students, parents, faculty, and Jack's Foodtown of Caldwell, for The Mount community to participate in this important ministry. "

Mount Saint Dominic Academy students continue throughout the school year to provide service to those who come to St. John's for help.
