Motivational Seminar for Girls in Science - Montclair
A summit for girls, parents, educators and others will be offered in Montclair - and will help encourage girls to become scientists or study sciences.

Athena Collaborative Group will sponsor a two-and-a-half-day Community Action Summit for the township of Montclair the weekend of January 22-24.

It will be a highly interactive conference focused on creating the best strategies for our town to help usher a new generation of talented, confident and motivated girls towards exciting, enriching and critical STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) careers.

The summit will be for girls, parents, educators, community leaders and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) professionals to develop a Montclair Girls agenda. This will be the first summit of its kind and we are hoping to use Montclair as a model for other towns and communities.

The Montclair Community Action Summit on Preparing Girls for Math and Science Careers will take place:

at the Unitarian Church on Church Street on Friday January 22nd from 6:30 - 8:30 pm,

at the Montclair Library on South Fullerton on Saturday, January 23rd from 10:00 - 4:30 and

Sunday, January 24th from 12:00 - 4:30.
