Holiday Cookies & Doing Good Deeds: at First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell

Posted

The First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell is combining two holiday traditions – Christmas cookies and helping those in need with its annual Cookie Walk, scheduled for 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016.

During the cookie walk, the church’s education building – located at 326 Bloomfield Avenue near the rear of the church – is opened to the public. Long tables are filled with homemade cookies, brownies, cupcakes, cakes, and other treats that are for sale. Visitors are invited to fill plastic trays with the goodies, which are weighed at the front of the room. Money paid to buy the cookies is donated to the pastor’s discretionary fund, which is used to help those in need during the year. This year, for instance, the pastors donated money to victims of a fire in Caldwell.

The sale takes place until Noon, or until the cookies run out. No reservations are necessary.
