The Montclair Police report an attempted carjacking occurred in the parking deck on Fullerton.
Here are the details, from the police:
On 12-16-2014 at 1807Hrs, Officers responded to 14 North Fullerton (The North Fullerton Parking Deck), on a report of an attempted carjacking/robbery. The victim, a 40yoa Bloomfield woman, was found on the 2nd level of the deck. Her 8yoa daughter was also present, seated in their vehicle. The victim stated that she had just parked her Nissan Pathfinder and was removing her daughter from the vehicle when grabbed from behind by the actor. He then pointed a silver handgun at the victim, demanded her vehicle keys. The victim struggled with this actor, who then snatched her Coach purse and fled the parking deck via the south stairwell.
Suspect Description : Black male, dark skin, 30-35yoa, approx. 6’ in height, medium build, black coat with a gray hooded sweatshirt beneath, black and white wool hat with a pom-pom on top, white sneakers with a black tongue/laces area, and blue jeans. This actor had a ski mask covering the lower portion of his face.
