An increasing number of parents, coaches and child care providers are finding that a little bit of knowledge goes a long way. Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Nutley Parks & Recreation Department are pleased to offer residents Heartsaver CPR & AED Training. “As organizers of youth programs and events, we feel offering this essential program will allow coaches, parents and anyone who touches the life of a child an opportunity to educate themselves with life-saving CPR techniques” stated Commissioner Tucci. This program will be one of the most important things you can do to protect your children.

Instructed by Lifesaving Techniques, LLC., this three hour class will provide training materials from the American Heart Association. This information has been carefully designed to include several elements that help make the information interesting and memorable, so it can be retained during an emergency situation. Each class will include CPR/AED/choking for adult, children and infants.

Two classes have been scheduled to accommodate coaches and parents. Tuesday, September 13th or Thursday, September 15th, 6:00 p.m. are available in Room 201 at the Recreation Department, 44 Park Ave. The fee for this program is $65.00 per student. Class size is limited and registrations will be honored on a first come first serve basis. Registration forms may be submitted to the Recreation Department or online registration is available at https://register.communitypass.net/nutley.
