Jazz House Kids, the Montclair-based arts enrichment organization presents Body and Soul, an evening of world-class jazz and the artful pairing of food and wine. The event from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. will feature four rooms, each with their own unique sampling of international wine, food and world-class live jazz. This year’s Body and Soul will also include an exclusive pre-event tasting limited to just 24 guests from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., featuring treasures from the wine cellars of the DeSalvo family. Event sponsor, Jazz House Kids board member and Chevaliers Du Tastevin Jason DeSalvo and his father Ernie DeSalvo will walk guests through the wonders of once-in-a-lifetime bottles from some truly superstar winemakers – Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, Chateau Latour, Ornellaia, Guigal, Chateau Beaucastel, Torbreck and Kongsgaard. All wines poured will be critically acclaimed, rare and of unmatched pedigree. Tickets for the main event are $125 per person and $200 per couple. The exclusive pre-event wine tasting is $500 per person and includes admission to the Body and Soul main event. All proceeds raised will support Jazz House Kids’ three-year campaign goal to more than double its programming outreach, boosting achievement and providing financial assistance to students and their families.
